Is Flirting Considered as Cheating?

Do you think flirting can be considered as cheating? Well for me, I don't consider flirting as cheating outright not unless if it's starting to ruin the relationship. Teasing and exchanging compliments is different from flirting. If you're doing it in front of your partner like if you're teasing or complimenting a friend or a colleague then I think it's okay. However, if you do it when your partner is not around and if you show provocative or sensual gestures or body language then that's a different story.

I have always been narrow minded about it. Used to think that flirting (as complementing and teasing strangers, not kidding with friends) was disrespectful towards your partner... I've recently changed my mind. Of course it's not something I would do in front of my girlfriend, but if someone flirted with me I'd take it as a compliment, not something I should feel guilty of. I believe that when you are in a long lasting relationship, it's nice to receive attention from other people. This of course does not mean you are going to cheat or anything...
